1-Can they climb glass/hard plastic? 2-How often should you feed them? 3-What can i feed them besides meat? 4-How many beetles are considered a starter colony?[Is there even such thing as a starter colony?] Thanks in advance. Post by: koolkid on May 09, 2010, 09:58:49 am Okay i have a few questions on dermestid beetles: 1-No but in a glass aqurium make sure the silicone around the edges are gone.1-Can they climb glass/hard plastic? 2-How often should you feed them? 3-What can i feed them besides meat? 4-How many beetles are considered a starter colony?[Is there even such thing as a starter colony?] Thanks in advance. 2-3-5 times a week and ajust as colony grows 3-Dog/cat food. 4-There is no such thing its just how much you start with your suggestion of 10-20 is a great starter.
